The workshop series consists of two parts which are structured according to the age and needs of the child. The workshops can be booked individually or as a package.
With this workshop series, Odile Seitz wants to share her work exploring child development and the bond between parents and children through movement and dance. With Body-Mind Centering®, a method that strengthens and refines awareness of the body and movement, various possibilities are offered that create a different understanding of the child's physical and emotional development. Through movement games and dance impulses, a new level of working with children is opened, the view of the child and one's own perspective are broadened and attentive cooperation is stimulated. Exercises that strengthen the awareness for the child's development give impulses for one's own pedagogical work. What possibilities are there for communicating with each other? How can self-confidence, creativity and the ability to react be promoted? How is space perceived? What can the body do and how does it feel?
The offer is aimed at educators, teachers, and pedagogues, but also therapists or people who meet children in other contexts.
Through theoretical explanations and touches, the different stages of the child's development are conveyed. The workshop focuses on the connections between movement and the physical and emotional development of the brain. The connection to the floor, the strengthening of the central axis, flexion and extension, the spatial, physical and communicative orientation are topics that are experienced in movement and with dance.
