In dance with the constraints of these specials times, the organisers of Made in Potsdam this year are literally looking for new spaces, surprising perspectives and possible openings in the currently closed system of art spaces and theatre venues, freely adapted from Leonhard Cohen: "There is a crack in everything - that's how the lights get out".
Film projections conquer billboards, window and door frames, art spaces remain closed yet become transparent, installations conquer outdoor spaces or occupy niches in buildings – for Made in Potsdam, fabrik Potsdam, and Kunstraum are thus presenting artists from Potsdam and the region in surprising formats, some of them with new visual languages and unexpected media.
These works of art can be discovered on a stroll through the Schiffbauergasse and experienced open air.
