The choreographer in residence in Potsdam offers workshops for teenagers and continues here the research he initiated in Italy.
In the course of the lockdown in Italy, forgotten body states, emotions and feelings came up again for Daniele Ninarello. His personal history, which he first considered overcome, became present again. The control of a stranger over his own body, which occurred in lockdown, brought his experience of bullying back to the surface.
Based on this autobiographical experience and with the respect to do a research for his solo "Nobody, nobody nobody- it's OK, not to be OK" grew in Daniele the will to share his story and his creative process with other young people. Daniele's goal is to introduce young people to an artistic practice as a tool to address cultural and political issues. In this way, young people will have the opportunity "to express, through their bodies, what they actually want and not what they have been taught to want in order to feel included." A collective workshop teaches individual and group practices that address issues of marginalization, isolation, anger, as well as cooperation, solidarity and community.
The workshops combine physical expression and conversation sessions with theoretical input on the core themes of the project and those that the youth bring to the table during the collective work.
