IWS 01: THE AWAKENED BODY

By awakening of the senses, this workshop navigates the endless images in the body that are embedded in every creative act. Guided movement and theatrical exercises trace the dynamics between impulse, instinct, and action. The creative act becomes a vehicle for the experience of a deeper connectedness and inner presence. This workshop is open to all actors, dancers, and performers. Born in the USA, Rob Hayden was a gymnast for 13 years and studied theatre and contemporary dance at the University of New Mexico. He has been part of the Última Vez Company of Wim Vandekeybus since 2002 and works internationally as a director, performer, teacher, and sound composer in various genres.
