art + school is the formula used by primary school student teachers at the University of Potsdam to conduct aesthetic research and develop new teaching ideas. Among other things, they test performance, video art, sculpture or museology as educational strategies for language teaching, mathematics, science teaching or sport. Open-ended and process-oriented, they search for points of contact between the arts and the aesthetic characteristics of their respective school subjects. The University of Potsdam has thus set itself the goal of enriching the practice of imparting knowledge sensually, didactically and methodically. The results of various theory-practice seminars in which students have applied the art + school formula will be presented for the first time in the Kunstraum Potsdam.
The exhibition is accompanied by a site-specific spatial installation by the "KlebeBande" on the theme of "art in (school) construction".
