How can we work together successfully? What potential can it unleash? In the piece Entre Deux, the audience follows two protagonists in an acrobatic dance as they measure their possibilities, embrace opportunities, explore their limits, and balance their desires. They transform a tennis table, an omnipresent urban object in public space, into their 360-degree stage and play on it with elements of Art du déplacement, dance, partnering, and body percussion.

Cumbia is a mixture of pre-colonial indigenous music and rhythmic elements that were brought to South America by African slaves during colonisation. Today, cumbia is widespread throughout the South American continent and takes on different forms in the celebrations of generations of the lower classes. In this solo, South American choreographer Felipe Fizkal presents an interpretation of cumbia as a musical genre and dance practice.

“I'll keep going. Stand firm. I can do a little more. Am I being too stubborn?”
In her performance, choreographer Johanna Jörns explores the complexity of perseverance – between strength and lightness, resistance and devotion. She explores how perseverance changes in the body, when it becomes a source of strength and when it becomes a burden. The work deals with endurance, limits, and the change between tension and resolution.

Zsombor Szabo explores self-pity in this choreographic research. The dancers' experiences initially give rise to solos, which later interact with each other in a room within a room, accompanied by a percussionist. The aim is to create a composition that shows how a lack of empathy creates an endless loop. The title Goulash refers to Szabo's Hungarian heritage and symbolises an attitude of irresponsibility, waiting for others to find a solution.

Discovering movements and developing a performance is like writing a poem. It is a search for different feelings, colours, tempos, textures, smells, and sounds. Jin Lee and Jihun Choi spend three days exploring movement material with young people, dance, and write a physical poem about “we/us” and “me”. They explore their own physical limits, see what they and others are capable of and transfer this energy as individuals and groups into a powerful, creative performance.

A choreographic tutorial of resistance

This tutorial is about the rupture that occurs when the warm and tender inner animal looks in the mirror and recognises its own tormentor: A dog sees a leash, a horse sees a whip, a teenager sees a future adult. In this tutorial, Vera Shchelkina attempts to resist the tormentor with the audience: purring, playing, biting, standing up straight, walking on four legs, changing to eye level. How can you resist becoming human?
