Buraco

Saison opening | Elisabete Finger (Sao Paulo/Berlin)

06 – 08 Sep 2024 | Culture for Everyone!Dance / performance

In Buraco ("hole" is portugese) everything has holes and everything makes holes. Everything is for crossing, leaving, or entering, for falling into, lingering, disappearing. To look through and discover the other side: black, skin-like, green, patterned, hairy. A continuous adventure of matter, without detours: Buraco fits a world. The piece was created from a desire to consider other possible relational logics with a young audience, opening up space for an adventure involving our senses and sensitivity. Here, the hole is understood as a relation: between the inside and the outside of the body, between different bodies, between different materials. Holes are gaps, leaks, passages to other places: they are portals to other worlds.

Workshop following the performance: Sun, Sep 08 2024 (admission free)
The dancers invite the audience on a journey through the materials of the stage set. Choreographic situations they have just seen can be explored, the audience can play with and within them. Everyone is encouraged to touch objects, interact with them and discover them together.

The performance on 08 Sep takes place as part of Kultur für JEDE*N!
