Mechanics of Distance – Pictograms

Participative, performative walk | Máté Mészáros (Budapest)

25 – 26 May 2024 | Potsdamer Tanztage 2024Participative performance

During the pandemic, Máté Mészáros transformed his choreography, Mechanics of Distance into a participative walk. This adaptation aimed to share the work despite closures and restrictions. Participants follow a route, recreating movements from nine pictograms designed by a Hungarian artist. They become dancers, experiencing collaborative movement and shifting spatial dynamics. The participants will be able to take the pictograms with them in a booklet to recreate the choreography independently and enjoy a unique urban experience.

On Sat 25. May, 22:00: Concert Lua Preta at fabrikclub (Entrance free of charge)
