Do you fancy dancing, trying something new and bringing your own style and ideas to the table? Then join this performance project!
Together with choreographer Ibrahima Ndiaye, we’ll explore West African dance traditions – powerful rhythms, dynamic movements and plenty of energy. We’ll experiment with movement and music and work together to develop a performance for the stage.
Ibrahima Ndiaye is a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher. He grew up in Senegal and trained at Germaine Acogny’s École des Sables. Hogir Göregen (percussion) and Joel Grip (double bass) will provide live musical accompaniment for the project.
The performance is being created as part of the Rare Birds music festival and will be staged at fabrik Potsdam on 5 December 2026 at 7.30 pm.
