Soraïda Caron & Ito Laïla Lefrançois

Corps - Territoire

"Corps - Territoire is a research project on the discovery of a hybrid form between contemporary dance and sculpture. The sculptor Ito Laïla Lefrançois and I, Soraïda Caron, dancer and choreographer, want to start by looking at the movement that can come from sculptural works and the immobility generated by dance movement. With the help of various creative exercises (improvisation, role-playing, etc.) we will try to bring our media together in a single body. It is important for us not to "costume" the body but to transfigure it in order to create a new entity. This mix will certainly create another movement that we look forward to." Soraïda Caron
