I teach… contemporary dance at the Fabrik, as well as ballet, yoga and Pilates.
I dance because… it’s the language I love most to express myself and understand the world. Because dance is the most beautiful and fun form of movement, and it makes me happy.
I pay particular attention to… emotion, musicality and presence.
The song that always gets me moving… I can’t decide – everything from quiet piano music to fast hip-hop!
What has shaped me most… All my dance teachers during my youth and training. And the year I spent in Italy, when I found it hard to keep believing in myself, but my love of dance could not be taken away from me.
For me, the best place to dance is… a large, bright dance studio.
A key moment for me was… my first job as a dancer.
What I want to pass on to my students is… the joy of movement and confidence in their own bodies.
What I look forward to every year is… seeing how people develop through and with dance, and how new possibilities and inspirations emerge.
