Laura Gary and Nina Spiri invite to take part in LIVING BORDERS – a creative process at the intersection of movement, ecological thinking, somatic and performative practices.
Following the first laboratory held in Teremiski, Poland, in May 2026, this second gathering continues the collective exploration of borders through embodied and artistic research. While in the first lab the group was surrounded by nature and deep forest, this laboratory takes place in an urban setting, opening space for new questions, perspectives, and encounters.
Coming October, the group will gather for the second LIVING BORDERS – Ecosomatic Laboratory in Potsdam. A few days of practice, experimentation, and being together in the city of Potsdam, and its surrounded nature. The participants will work with body, space, and movement through somatic practices, performative actions, collective reading, group processes, and actions in nature. Our attention will also turn toward the history of the city related to its borders (constructions, architecture, historical borders).
The starting point of the lab will be questions of borders – their permeability, fluidity, and mutability. As a laboratory, the programme will offer a number of shared inputs and practices, while leaving space for participants to develop their own interests, questions, and artistic approaches within the broader theme. The project invites participants to engage in a process of collective inquiry, exchange, and experimentation.
