Frühling in Preußen

Theatergruppe Tarántula

08 – 10 Mar 2019Dance for young audience

Tarántula follows in the footsteps of the poet Jakob Michael Reinhold Lenz (1751 - 1792). Sometimes an extreme athlete, sometimes a need for care - Lenz has always remeasured the peaks and abysses of human existence with the play ball and mirror of his time. He tells of great love and its failure. He asks how people can be bought and shows us a castration as a way to happiness...
Tarántula embarks on a journey through the life and work of this peculiar border crosser. The hike leads through Prussia, the land of unlimited possibilities, which is still a cultural identification surface, enemy image and bestseller in our everyday life.  The map through the unsafe terrain is a collage of dance, spoken theatre, rococo and station passage. Don't miss spring in Prussia! The fast-paced screwball comedy for the whole family with the extra portion of action, potatoes and syphillis...
