A Millimeter in Light Years

How can distance be used as a strategy for individual freedom? And how do people succeed to remain openhearted and empathic? Laura Heinecke and a team of artists take those topics as starting points for their new production and question the topic of distance and its personal, cultural and spatial dimensions. On stage, six dancers meet each other in a living, genuine and vulnerable way in ever new circumstances. Light and music create seeming walls and become essential playing partners of the body. This piece is also about finding a communicative aesthetic that turns dance into an emotional experience. With a very personal touch, movements in complex situations directly articulate and unconditionally stand out.
