Explore dance – Dance for young audiences / TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund | Clément Layes / Public in Private (Berlin)

17 Jan 2020 | Made in Potsdam 2020Young dance

Zipp, Krap, Bang, Tschhhh... A huge wooden box! A rhythmic and sonorous story unfolds around, inside and on top of it. There you discover a hand, here you see a head. Has it disappeared again? What is hidden in the box? And what exactly unfolds out of it? Movements, noises and objects appear, build on each other and disappear again. And yet, before you notice it, the rhythm has taken us into another loop. Clément Layes, together with children from Freie Schule Potsdam, developed the first Pop-up as part of explore dance - Network Dance for Young Audiences. The Pop-up is a mobile piece that can be shown outside the theatre space. A piece suitable for all ages 6 and up.

explore dance was awarded the perspective prize DER FAUST 2019.
