The Maze Cab is a four-piece post-punk band from Berlin and Potsdam. Hypnotically grinning guitar riffs and energetically driving krautrock beats intertwine with constantly distorted basslines. Dominating this controlled blaze are the alternating, sometimes two-part vocal lines of Katharina and Gernot – the perfect mix for both getting into the groove and spinning out. Love and revolt, the well-known human abysses, modern life, and autobiographical themes – these are the subjects of The Maze Cab's mostly metaphorically written lyrics. In a sense, they reflect their music: the boundaries of typical genres are fluid. The Maze Cab continues to create their own world.
