An evening for, with, but also without Kate Bush.
On 6 September, it's that time again: JazzLab will be performing at the Alte MTS in Geltow – already a classic in the Klanglabor series! The group Ausfahrt4 is at home here and will be paying tribute to an icon of pop music this year: British musician, dancer and pianist Kate Bush.
The vocal acrobat with a voice that hovers somewhere between opera and witchcraft set new standards with her stage performances. She is also the inventor of the first headset (at that time still homemade with a coat hanger)! ‘Bush is not just a musician, she is a genre unto herself.’ (The Guardian). Ausfahrt 4 and JazzLab process Kate Bush's art in their usual manner – idiosyncratic song interpretation meets theatre, dance and improvisation alternate with reverent silence. The unique charm of the Alte MTS adds to the experience.
