Dance in urban space: Everyone here is a bit of a horse

A choreographic tutorial of resistance | Vera Shchelkina (Berlin) / HZT Berlin – MA Choreographie

22 – 23 May 2025 | Potsdamer Tanztage 2025Dance / performance

This tutorial is about the rupture that occurs when the warm and tender inner animal looks in the mirror and recognises its own tormentor: A dog sees a leash, a horse sees a whip, a teenager sees a future adult. In this tutorial, Vera Shchelkina attempts to resist the tormentor with the audience: purring, playing, biting, standing up straight, walking on four legs, changing to eye level. How can you resist becoming human?
